=== New Zealand Cavaliers === A "rebel tour" not government sanctioned went ahead in 1986, but after that sporting ties were cut, and New Zealand made a decision not to convey an authorised rugby team to South Africa until the end of apartheid. This followed the intensely controversial 1981 South African tour New Zealand which had provoked nationwide protest and world-wide condemnation. The Cavaliers tour was very controversial within New Zealand and the players found that support for their actions was far less than they had expected. This controversy meant there were no future rugby contacts until the South African apartheid regime ended. The All Blacks did not tour South Africa until after the fall of the apartheid régime (1990–1994), although after the 1985 tour was cancelled an unofficial tour took place in 1986 by a team that included 28 out of the 30 All Blacks selected for the 1985 tour, known as the New Zealand Cavaliers but often advertised in South Africa as the All Blacks or depicted with the Silver Fern. Of the 30 players who had been selected for the All Black tour, only David Kirk and John Kirwan did not join the Cavaliers. === Herbal Medicine === There are herbs that kill or interrupt the lifecycle of scabies mites both in the lab and when topically applied to living people. Despite this, curing the condition solely with herbal medicine is difficult and often not recommended, even by advocates of herbal medicine. There are many natural chemicals that are insecticides (bug killing), acaricides (tick and mite killing), miticides (mite killing), and/or scabicides (Scabies mite killing). Many herbal recepies exist to fight mite-caused diseases including the highly-related sarcoptic mange in other animals but they may claim only to treat symptoms, lessen severity, or prevent new infections. Interest in herbal and hybrid treatments is partially driven by concerns about drug-resistance. Herbs with documented scabicidal effects include thyme, majoram, clove, camphor tree, geranium, tea tree, rosemary, oregano, neem, and coconut. Herbal medicines that kill mites in lab settings may not be safe to apply topically at that concentration. These medicines may also not absorb through the skin well enough to kill mites in pustules, nodules, or burrows.
Argon (Ancient Greek ἀργόν, neuter singular form of ἀργός meaning "lazy" or "inactive") is named in reference to its chemical inactivity. Argon was first isolated from air in 1894 by Lord Rayleigh and Sir William Ramsay at University College London by removing oxygen, carbon dioxide, water, and nitrogen from a sample of clean air. They first accomplished this by replicating an experiment of Henry Cavendish's. They trapped a mixture of atmospheric air with additional oxygen in a test-tube (A) upside-down over a large quantity of dilute alkali solution (B), which in Cavendish's original experiment was potassium hydroxide, and conveyed a current through wires insulated by U-shaped glass tubes (CC) which sealed around the platinum wire electrodes, leaving the ends of the wires (DD) exposed to the gas and insulated from the alkali solution. The arc was powered by a battery of five Grove cells and a Ruhmkorff coil of medium size. The alkali absorbed the oxides of nitrogen produced by the arc and also carbon dioxide. They operated the arc until no more reduction of volume of the gas could be seen for at least an hour or two and the spectral lines of nitrogen disappeared when the gas was examined. The remaining oxygen was reacted with alkaline pyrogallate to leave behind an apparently non-reactive gas which they called argon.
== Adverse effects == Since dapagliflozin leads to heavy glycosuria (sometimes up to about 70 grams per day), it can lead to rapid weight loss and tiredness. The glucose acts as an osmotic diuretic (this effect is the cause of polyuria in diabetes), which can lead to dehydration. The increased amount of glucose in the urine can also worsen the infections already associated with diabetes, particularly urinary tract infections and thrush (candidiasis). Rarely, the use of an SGLT-2 inhibitor medication, including dapagliflozin, is associated with necrotizing fasciitis of the perineum, also called Fournier gangrene. Dapagliflozin is also associated with hypotensive reactions. SGLT2 inhibitors, including dapagliflozin, are associated with a small but important risk of diabetic ketoacidosis, including euglycaemic diabetic ketoacidosis, where ketone levels increase despite normal or only mildly elevated blood glucose levels. However, the DEPICT-1 and DEPICT-2 trials showed that dapagliflozin caused additional diabetic ketoacidosis events in the type 1 diabetic patients who received dapagliflozin. Symptoms of ketoacidosis include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fatigue, and trouble breathing. Dapagliflozin can cause dehydration, serious urinary tract infections, and genital yeast infections. Elderly people and people with kidney dysfunction, low blood pressure, or who are on diuretic medications should have their volume status and kidney function assessed. Individuals with signs and symptoms of metabolic acidosis or ketoacidosis should also be assessed.
